Our framework includes five steps.
Inclusive Planning
We are committed to involving a diverse range of voices in the early stages of our projects. This means we actively engage with your communities and your internal and external partners to shape a shared and comprehensive understanding of what diversity means within the context of our work. By facilitating workshops, surveys, and public forums, we aim to gather a wide range of perspectives, ensuring that our definition of diversity is inclusive and representative of all stakeholders.
Diversity in Plans and Goals
Recognizing the unique insights brought by diverse groups, we integrate their input into our planning and goal-setting processes. We understand that local contexts vary greatly, and what works in one area may not be appropriate in another. Therefore, we tailor our strategies to reflect each community’s specific socio-cultural, economic, and environmental realities, ensuring our plans are relevant and effective.
Bias and Sensitivity at Instrument Level
To combat potential biases in our tools and processes, we rigorously examine our instruments to ensure they do not function differently for different groups of respondents. This involves statistically analyzing how different groups respond to assessment items, which helps identify any item that might be unfairly biased against any group. Doing so ensures our instruments are fair and our data is reliable, leading to more equitable outcomes.
Inclusive Data Collection
We are dedicated to inclusivity in our data collection efforts. This means making deliberate efforts to include minority and disadvantaged groups in our surveys, interviews, and other data gathering methods. We will work to overcome barriers that these groups may face in participating in our research, such as language differences, technological access, and trust issues, ensuring that their views and experiences are well represented in our data.
